L'ile de la Cité
La Cité
A tour in the heart of Paris
During lively walks, we will bring Paris’s neighborhoods to light through its history and its monuments.
My tours are suited for both individual travelers passing through Paris and for groups of all kinds.
Each tour is the result of my research, discoveries and anecdotes gathered over time. I carefully choose each story and anecdote to highlight the trip. I personalize my tours according to each group or individual.
L’Ile de la Cité: in the heart of Paris where it all began!
2000 years ago, a tribe of Celtic fisherman, the Parisii, found this rich, fertile land and took refuge.
Protected by the arms of the Seine river, ile de la Cité has been the center of royal and religious power since the Middle Ages.
Today ile de la Cité and the sublime monuments that make this the capital of France offers a centuries-old trip back in time.
Along the banks of the Seine, you will discover le Pont-Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris, the medieval towers of the Conciergerie, the city’s first public clock, the elegant Place Dauphine, the unconventional flower market, not to mention the stunning cathedral of Notre Dame.
